New Orleans Track Club's Summer Series No. 3 – City Park Mudfest Edition
City Park turned into a splash ‘n dash last night as runners lined up for the third leg of the Summer Series. Heavy rain before and during the race turned the course into a sloppy, slippery playground — puddles deep enough to name, grass slick enough to test your balance, and mud that tried to claim more than a few shoes.
Despite the conditions, the spirit was anything but soggy. Runners leaned into the chaos, embracing the challenge with grins, grit, and the occasional mid-stride splash fight. PRs? Maybe not. Epic race photos? Absolutely.
Whether you left with soaked socks, mud-caked calves, or just a good story to tell, Summer Series No. 3 delivered a true New Orleans summer running experience: hot, wet, and a little wild.
