Back to basics. Solid reinvents by removing everything but the essentials. Solid C 225 contains cocoa, offering a taste alternative or flavor reset during training or racing. It’s a fast and light carbohydrate-rich, low fiber fuel source — the perfect complement to your Hydrogel fueling. Each Solid contains 225 calories and 44g of carbs.
Solid is our first non-Hydrogel product. That’s a big deal for us. So we stuck to what we know. We listened to science. We listened to the athletes. We distilled it down to the essentials. We focused on performance. The result is a performance-focused oat-and-rice-based chewable. It may look like a bar, feel like a bar, and taste like a bar — but it’s definitely not a run-of-the-mill bar. This is Solid.
Fuel your fast
Solid is not a replacement to training and racing on Hydrogel — it’s a complement to it.
For marathon runners, Solid is a perfect post-session or post-race recovery snack to replace carbohydrates. It also works as a pre-race meal alternative.
For cyclists, Solid is a great fuel option for low-to-medium intensity rides and as a before and after snack.
For Ultra runners, the standard nutrition advice is to eat something Solid every 4 hours. Solid’s salt content is also an advantage in replacing sodium levels during long training sessions and races.
For triathletes, Solid is an ideal between-session fuel as well as a post-session or post-race recovery snack to replace carbohydrates.
We didn’t set out to make a commercial product when we started our Solid journey. We looked at science and thought, “If we make a bar that’s good enough for an elite rider or athlete, it will be good enough for all athletes.”
When we looked into it and spoke to our athletes, we realised that there were simply not many options out there for a performance-focused bar. Solid is the result. Pure and simple.
Proper Shoe Fit
Get The Right Size!
Improper shoe sizing and shape are the primary cause of ingrown toenails, bunions, corns and hammer toes. Sounds fun, doesn't it? It's not. Shoes that don’t fit your feet correctly can also lead to muscular imbalances in the body, opening the door to foot, knee and hip injuries.
The More You Know..
Most runners get shoes too small for them because they don't take into account these factors:
- When a load is applied to your foot by running, your foot will spread up to half an inch in length. One shoe size is only 1/3 inch.
- If allowed, your foot will splay 15 percent in width under load.
- Your foot is widest at the toes (but most shoes are not).
Tips on sizing
- Do not assume you are the same size as a previous shoe.
- If your feet are slightly different sizes, get your shoes to fit the larger foot.
- Use this shoe sizing chart:
|Foot in Inches||Foot in Centimeters||U.S. Women's Size||U.S. Men's Size|
